As much as I love winter because of the layers and beautiful textures it offers for Fashion decisions, I could not wait for the Spring season to bloom. I just want a day like this where I can indulge myself with as much self-timing camera shots as I possibly can without worrying about not having enough light to create a satisfying photograph to share with my viewers.

Hopefully, it’s as gorgeous as Vancouver wherever you are right now.

Tiger Fever and Galactica Craze

Enough of the rottweiler and the sharks. The new obsession on the street is either the Kenzo tiger fever or the Balenciaga galactic tops. There is some serious man-repelling activity happening in the streets for the past seasons in Paris, Milan, London and New York City. If you have an extra 500 dollars sitting in your account, why not jump into the band wagon and start being relevant?

Open your eyes and see the bright side of exploring Fashion. Color is now a “vintage” on the runway and the doors finally opened for different and interesting textures to be discovered. Fur, leather, knit, you name it - so far so “bright” with variety of personalities when it comes to materiality of each collection.

INSTAGRAM THAT SHIZ’

I know the excuse of not having any time is getting old by now. Therefor, I created an instagram account for a better consistency in my OOTD posts. Although the pictures are not as high quality and as fierce as my actual outfit posts, my instagram presents more of an “accessibility” to the general folks.

This does not mean I won’t be taking any outfit photographs anymore, however. I still value the quality of images - quality over quantity. Treat this as a bonus instead, yes?

On one hand, we have Forever21 manequins that look too kinky of a plastic imprint of the human anatomy while on the other we have the Lanvin marionettes that goes beyond the fashion and marketing and dip its soul into surrealism and theatricality.

Obviously, TOPMAN DESIGN showed us the real “high street” fashion during their Fall and Winter 2013 collection during London Men’s Fashion Week. The art of layering and the skills of the tastemakers proven us that not only cropped jackets also work for men but also paisley patterns and (YES!) bright colours could also be an ideal ensemble during the chilly winds of the season in alternative to a melancholic all-black outfit.

Pardon my excitement, but I need to get those individual pieces on my back pronto. It screams Fashion, it screams attention and most importantly - probably the best part of it - it screams “I’m better than your average UGG limping peasant and her “Juicy” booty tracksuit”. Side note - just because the word “sexy” is stamped on your ass cheek does not mean you are nor you have a sexy booty in those slithery bright pink velvet “ass-hugger” pants.

Wheeling back to the topic, Topman Design always excites me during the Men’s Fashion Week. It has been a favorite alongside Christopher Kane and - no surprise here - Burberry Prorsum. The gradation of colour in the duration of the collection was such a floral bouquet to my eyes. Sharp silhouettes with draperies and colours to balance the femininity and masculinity of an ensemble is quite impressive. Although I wouldn’t see myself rocking those “breezy” pantaloons, I have my commitment with my skinnies until my volleyball thunder-thighs disappear.

Why not camp during the freezing winters of the North with burgundy double breasted blazers or a peach knit cardigan/bath robe? Might as well do it while you strut your shorts in the middle of an icy street.

Let’s start off the New Year with a little all-black outfit, shall we? Recently, Minimalism is the keyword that I hold on to once I look through my wardrobe. However, if you know me, minimal is not in my dictionary for the most part. Instead of dabbing into a whole rainbow color scheme, I toned it down to one shade and play with textures instead.

It’s also comical that I dressed in such depressing ensemble during the only day the sun came out to play for the season.

Hope you guys are having a fantastic day!

| TOPSHOP x TOPMAN x THE BAY Christmas party |

There’s no Christmas party without a little bit of metallic in your ensemble. I swear, that night must have been amazing since several circumstances were discovered the next day.

The month of December was opened by meeting Mr. Scott Schuman of the iconic fashion photography blog, The Sartorialist. It was a great pleasure meeting such a legendary force in the fashion industry of our time. I could not have asked for a better company other than the Topshop x TOPMAN family.

A very big thank you for the amazing Secret Location here in Gastown Vancouver for giving me the chance to meet such an individual in my life.
